Keeping this post brief as I soak up my last day of Christmas break with my girl...Tomorrow we resume to "normal life"...the daily drive here and there and everywhere...so today was a day to just be. Today we soaked up our home...we played...we watched movies...we cuddled...and did it all in our jammies {don't worry...we at least brushed our teeth}!
And today we enjoyed one of my favorite things...remember my reference to that “perfect cup of hot chocolate” I discussed in my first post? Well, although I didn’t get to enjoy it Christmas Day, today was as good a day as any. I set out to prepare my cup of hot chocolate and of course needed the perfect mug to sip from…so I decided on one that would make me smile…one with Kayla’s picture on it. Can I have a moment of silence for the year that has passed since that picture of her was taken? Ok…I’m back…just looking at that picture reminds me of how quickly she is growing up...and how much I need to soak up each and every precious second with her. After I filled the mug to the top with chocolately {is that a word} goodness, I decided to go a little more decadent. Whip cream? Of course…oh…and perhaps some Christmasy-colored sprinkles on top...and why not? Sprinkles just make me smile.
